The name Seventh-day Adventist® reflects two vital beliefs for us as a church. Seventh-day refers to the Biblical Sabbath, which from creation has always been on the seventh day of the week, or Saturday. Adventist reflects our passionate conviction about the nearness of Christ's soon return, or advent.

Our Mission — Making disciples who lift up Jesus Christ.
Our Vision — Expanding our walls, fulfilling our mission.

Special Offering for Haiti on February 13

The North American Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is collecting a special offering for Haiti. “We must become the helping hands of family members who care,” says Don Schneider, the president of the North American Division. “Our heartfelt prayers and concerns are with the people of Haiti still suffering the effects of this devastating earthquake. Many of the 470 churches that Haiti’s members worship in are now in ruins. This is also true of hospitals and schools. The 335,000 Adventist members in Haiti now need our help. Their economy is destroyed, making it difficult not only to continue ministry, but also to rebuild.

Because we know Jesus loves us, we must let them know that His love compels us to help.” The North American Division is sending $600,000 to help rebuild the ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Haiti. This is in addition to funds for relief sent through ADRA in January. Union and local conferences are also sending significant amounts of money to help our members in this crisis. This special offering on February 13, 2010, allows each member here to help Seventh-day Adventists in Haiti rebuild and reach out to their country in this time of tragedy. Help them know that even in disaster, God is with them and so is their church family! To donate on other Sabbaths, designate "Haiti Disaster Relief (SDA)" on an offering envelope.
