Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What do Seventh-day Adventists believe?
A: We have twenty-eight fundamental beliefs, all of which are based on scripture.
Q: How can I request Bible studies?
A: If you're visiting with us, you can ask any member to take you to one of our pastors, who will be happy to talk with you. You may also call the church office or send us an email.
Q: How can I become a member of Emmanuel-Brinklow?
A: If you are already a member of another Seventh-day Adventist church, you can speak directly to one of our pastors or another church official, who will help you to request a membership transfer. If you would like to join the Seventh-day Adventist Church for the first time, one of our pastors will be happy to talk with you about taking Bible studies, so you can learn more about our denomination's fundamental teachings. Should you choose to accept and practice these teachings, you are welcome to join our church through baptism.
Q: I’ve been attending Brinklow and would like to become more involved. I’m not a member, though. Can non-members serve?
A: Some positions do require membership, but we welcome you to take advantage of the opportunities available for those who haven’t yet become members. Working together is a great way for us to get to know one another better. Contact a leader on our
Resources web page to find out how you can get involved.
