Sisters for the Son

Sisters for the Son (SFS) is a ministry at Emmanuel-Brinklow for girls ages 10-18. It is a Christ-oriented program where young girls decide to dedicate their bodies and lives to service for Jesus Christ. The ultimate goal is to empower these girls and help them establish their self-awareness and self-worth. Most importantly they will incorporate the principles of love and sisterhood.

This organization is sponsored in part by the Women’s Ministries department. Each participant’s mother or guardian is to be fully committed as adviser and mentor. The older SFS members serve as junior mentors.

Sisters for the Son meets on the first Sunday of each month for a workbook session. A monthly social activity is also planned.

OUR AIM - To love our sisters and ourselves wholeheartedly because we are one in the Father, one in the Son, and one in the Spirit. We are one.

OUR MOTTO - Because I am a Sister for the Son‚ I promise to live for God with all my heart, mind, body, and soul; always knowing that God is in control.

OUR PLEDGE - By the grace of God, I pledge to allow the Holy Spirit to be present in my life, to love and respect myself, for I am a child of God. I am wonderfully and beautifully made. To be faithful to the only wise God by trusting and being obedient to His words, knowing that all things work together for the good of them who love the Lord. To be committed in serving God by lending a hand to my sisters who are in need, to share an encouraging word, to laugh when my sister laughs, and cry when my sister cries. To let my light shine so others will see God in me and would want to walk in God's footsteps. I pledge to be a strong tower and not be moved or broken-down. We pledge to stand firm in our commitment to God both now and forevermore.
