Young Adults Ministry - The "I" Initiatives

I ACT — I SPOT — I EAT and I PLAY — I SHARE — I SERVE

I ACT - (Inspirational - Advocating Change Together) - is a Christian drama ministry existing to expose and enact the gospel of the risen Savior in a manner that will allow all people to see, hear, and experience divine transformation. Many of the presentations expound upon the universal great controversy between Christ and Satan, revealing Jesus as the eternal victor. I ACT was established to provide an additional exposé of the Lord's ministry. While preaching is the Spoken Word, and while singing is the Melodious Word, drama is the Word being both seen and heard. Following in the footsteps of the prophets Ezekiel and Jeremiah, I ACT provides a visual demonstration of how practical Christianity is to be lived out.

Most of the members of I ACT are young adults. However, this ministry is open to individuals of any age. I ACT members do not have to be members of the Emmanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church in order to be part of this drama ministry. Neither does one have to possess tremendous acting ability in order to play a fundamental role in this ministry. We are all amateurs, doing this out of love for Jesus. The only criterion is commitment to the cause of Christ for little becomes much when it is placed in the Master's hand.

I ACT normally meets on one to two Sabbath afternoons a month, following 11 o'clock Divine Worship services, in our sanctuary.

I SPOT - (Inspirational Spotlight) - is a bi-weekly devotional thought that is sent out by email, providing young adults an opportunity to reflect and focus on Christ. The I SPOT also includes information about some of the ministries our young adults are involved in. I EAT & I PLAY - (Inspiration Eating and Playing) - is a time of fellowship and recreation among our young adults. It gives us the opportunity to meet and greet growing closer together as a family unit with good Christian fun.

I SHARE - (Inspirational Sharing) is a Bible study group that meets once a month allowing young adults to share insights from the Word of God. It is designed to help us learn from each other while growing closer to Christ. Many times I SHARE tackles difficult Biblical and religious subjects with the intent that we can take our spiritual experience to the next level.

I SERVE - (Inspirational Serving) is a time when our young adults minister to those who are ill, sick, and shut-in, providing a word of encouragement and inspiration from above. I SERVE gives us the opportunity to become the "hands and feet of Jesus."
