L'Elegance Cotillion-Beautillion
.
The L’Elegance Cotillion-Beautillion is a specialized, six-month program that celebrates the coming out of high school seniors from the Washington and Baltimore metropolitan area.  The program targets college-bound Seventh-day Adventist youth who, by virtue of their faith, are unable to participate in similar programs sponsored by other local organizations.

L’Elegance Cotillion-Beautillion has three major goals.  The first goal is exposing the youth to spiritual, educational, recreational and cultural workshops and community activities and outings that they may not have participated in otherwise.  These activities include spiritual retreats, etiquette and grooming seminars, outings to cultural plays and musical concerts and volunteer service in their communities.

A second important goal is participating in a fund-raising venture that will be used to provide educational scholarships for the higher education of each participant after graduation.

At the end of the six months of activities, the third goal is realized.  The debutantes and beaus of L’Elegance are presented to society in a formal, black-tie affair.  Each participant is featured as his or her accomplishments and aspirations are shared with several hundred guests gathered in their honor.  This has been considered as the highly anticipated culmination and has garnered the attention of prestigious media outlets such as the Washington Post, which covered and published the event in two separate articles and photo spread in its newspaper in April 2006.
