Worship Ministries
Music
The focus of the music ministry at Emmanuel Brinklow is worship. With David we say, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise” (Psalm 100:4, NKJV). Our God is Creator and Redeemer, and He inhabits eternity. We view worship here as practice for worship in heaven.
Music serves two purposes. It is not only a medium through which we can praise God simply because He is worthy of it, but it also draws us closer to Him. There are some, believers and seekers alike, who can be brought closer to God through music than through a sermon. Recognizing the power that music can have, we take our responsibility seriously and constantly ask God’s guidance in our planning, rehearsing, and offering of praise in worship. Musicians, soloists, praise teams, choirs, and worship leaders all work together to bring the congregation into God’s presence.
Do you have the gift of singing or playing an instrument? Our music committee encourages you to use that talent to glorify God as part of Brinklow’s worship experience – whether in Sabbath morning service, mid-week prayer meeting, or Sabbath School. For information about how you can serve, contact our Worship Coordinators.
Media
Winning souls for Christ is the goal of the audio/visual team that provides sound and video for the weekly Sabbath worship services. As a vital part of the church, this ministry seeks to use the latest audio and visual technology to reach out not only to our members and community, but also to those around the world who don't know Christ. For information about how you can serve, contact our A-V leader.
CD/DVD Fees - A nominal fee will be charged for each Brinklow CD or DVD requested. The fee for one CD is $2; for two CDs the fee is $3. The fee for one DVD is $3 and the fee for two DVDs is $5. Payment for the media is due when the CDs and DVDs are ordered. Where CDs/DVDs have to be mailed to the purchaser, there will be additional charge based on weight of media and mailing location. Drama
I ACT - (Inspirational - Advocating Change Together) - is a Christian drama ministry whose goal is to expose and enact the gospel of the risen Savior in a manner that will allow all people to see, hear, and experience divine transformation. Many of the presentations expound upon the universal great controversy between Christ and Satan, revealing Jesus as the eternal victor. I ACT was established to provide an additional exposé of the Lord's ministry. While preaching is the Spoken Word, and while singing is the Melodious Word, drama is the Word being both seen and heard. Following in the footsteps of the prophets Ezekiel and Jeremiah, I ACT provides a visual demonstration of how practical Christianity is to be lived out. Most of the members of I ACT are young adults, but this ministry is open to individuals of any age. I ACT members do not have to be members of the Emmanuel-Brinklow to be part of this drama ministry.
